Find it click on it and remove. Please note: this is the developer firmware and not suited to update a Shield that was using the stock firmware! Did you download the new 7. The controller does indeed become disconnected from the box if you don't use it for a certain length of time, but I don't know what that time is. Video keeps playing and as far as I can tell nothing is ever out-of-sync…when audio comes back on after a dropout everything is in sync. The time between the cuts seems to be random sometimes seconds in between cuts, other times minutes.
If I turn on the projector everything plays fine. As a last attempt I used the already patched 7. Thanks very much for the reply and advice. Hope this helps it did for me first, Sorry for my bad english. Back on the homescreen the notification for the update shall be there and you can just dismiss it. The 422mb file was indeed the correct one for the developer firmware but the block based update fails under certain conditions. After it has become disconnected our controller re-connects to the box the instant any button is pushed.
Video keeps on playing without issues. Have you also used its voice search, I believe it has always on voice search? So i search to see what was wrong and found out that a lot of people where having the same problems but for a different computer. Keep it idle for about 5 minutes and keep tapping A button on the controller. I really wish Shield would get universal search like Roku has had forever. I've experienced this only with streaming content like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, not with local content, so far. I can upload the correct 1. What resolved the issue was to go to control panel and un install just the nvidia 3d audio driver from programs add remove section.
Or better yet, uninstall the graphic driver, boot to safe mode, and run Driver Sweeper. Give it 6 months to a year and they might be fixed. My computer staid like that then i had to reboot it. It had been working fine for several months, and then recently started exhibiting audio drop outs, both very short and very long. Have you tried looking for comments on Nvidia's own Shield Forum? I have had a long, ongoing support exchange with nVidia over this issue, which as it turns out is affecting all content I play on that device -- streaming Netflix, Amazon Prime and local content, including video and mp3 music files via Kodi. If you need more informationg just say so. .
Within a minute, all sound drops, and the frame rate increases back to normal. Even the Plex Kodi plugin works fine so the issue is clearly with Plex client app. You might want to check your cabling or placement of the shield device itself. Because Kodi has a custom player. You can see this in the Netflix app easily.
I never use the voice search feature on either the small remote or the controller, so I can't help on how it functions. Just out of curiosity, what card are you using now, and is all working normally with the old card? A very common problem after the update is that remote and controller seem to be lost for the system. Or used the Shield's own report-direct-to-nvidia function? I do not have this issue with other devices connected through the Onkyo. In that case it is a problem of sensitivity. Apparently that affects the audio in some way and only on some movies. Still no response from Nvidia. I tried it and the installer just stayed there, not doing nothing.
Got the false low battery warning again yesterday. I did and when go back to uninstall it. Additionally, audio playback to a bluetooth headset paired to the Shield results in no audio dropouts. I've noticed a really annoying issue with the Shield, or maybe its to do with apps, but it only happens on the Shield. Hope this works for you. Have you also used its voice search, I believe it has always on voice search? As far as I can tell Nvidia provide a kernel update to include the latest secrutiy patches available and to add more hardware support.
I'm just going to ignore the annoying low battery warning since the remote works just fine well, 'works' is a bit of an overstatement with this remote. It had been working fine for several months, and then recently started exhibiting audio drop outs, both very short and very long. The computer recognizes it but nothing happens. This might help someone else too. I tried it and the installer just stayed there, not doing nothing. I get it every time I turn the Shield on, multiple times even when I dismiss.
