Before the crew members are easily wiped out, they manage only to send a transmission back to Earth. Now, the squadrons must not only fight against the Terraformars for their survival, but also each other in the never-ending battle for international dominance. Thien death due to the overdose was quite sad too. They are shocked to discover that the insects have mutated into giant, aggressive humanoids with one overriding goal — exterminate the humans! I thought this would give a lot more backstory than how it turned out to, but it was alright. Five hundred years later, the first manned ship to Mars lands on the planet and the six crew members are attacked by giant mutated humanoid cockroaches with incredible physical strength later labeled as Terraformars.
Genres: Year aired: 2014 Status: Completed Summary: In an attempt to colonize Mars, 21st century scientists were tasked with warming up the planet so that humans could survive on its surface. I'm happy Ichiro became prime minister. A reason wasn't even shown. Well besides wrestling a giant cockroach, they still got adaptation to deal with against how they live. To fight the Terraformars' strength and agility, the members of the second and third expedition undergo genetic modification to inherit the characteristics of other organisms, only possible after having a special organ implanted inside their bodies with only a 30% chance of surviving the surgery. Decades later, a multinational expedition is sent to exterminate the mutated bugs and take control of the planet just to be wiped out as well, except for two survivors who managed to return to Earth, with one of them swearing to one day return to Mars and avenge their fallen companions.
Noticed most Terra Formars leads have some sort of unfortunate past, and they're actually done well. Why did Victoria kill the captain in her cockroach disguise in the beginning? I guess this one was a bit better than the previous ep which I don't remember how it ended , but this is still in the so bad it's good category. It was around the same quality as the first one, though maybe slighly better due to the extended length. I found that bit hilarious. I wish you could've gotten a happy ending after all the crap you went through. I want them to make season 2 and I will watch it!! However, far from discovering the cure for the lethal Alien Engine Virus that has been plaguing Earth, the Annex I team have learned that some squadrons have agendas from their own countries. This Anime really likes to use sex to fuck us up, yeah.
Her backstory that I read about was kind of a shame that it was left out. Victoria's death definitely looked more painful than Ming-Ming's. She got what she deserved. . The Vice-captain who was so lacking in presence I couldn't recall her name until looking her up on the wiki, Ming-Ming seem like she was going to do more but even she went down fast too. After humanity's first manned mission to the Red Planet was lost, a second expedition arrives. As a third expedition is assembled, questions are raised about the true origin of the Terraformars and their connection with a mysterious disease that is afflicting mankind back on Earth.
The terraforming of Mars has taken centuries but is now complete. Ichiro's backstory was pretty depressing. Wished the main series was directed just like this one. The colonization of Mars by humanity is an epoch-making event, but an unintended side effect of the terraforming process unleashes a horror no one could ever have imagined. In Terra Formars Revenge, the crew members of the Annex I continue to fight against Terraformars—the large humanoid cockroaches that evolved from the ones sent to Mars centuries ago. The decapitated one strangling Ichirou too. But this crew of explorers has each undergone the Bugs Procedure , terrifying experimental surgery designed to make them more than human.
It's nice to see some variety with Thien's death as a result of medicine overdosage, rather than brutal dismemberment. The female characters got squashed again. The small glimpse into his backstory was not enough to make him particularly stand out though. Kinda looked cool while he was transforming into a desert locust. He kind of had that dispensable-character appearance. Honestly, I thought only Shokichi was going to survive, I wasn't expecting Ichiro to be alive.
It was pretty disgusting and painful nonetheless. Summary: In the late 26th century, overpopulation on Earth is reaching the breaking point, and humanity must find new frontiers. She had plans to take over the world hah. Them tears while he was transforming into a bug. The explorers prepare to exterminate the cockroaches that were used to transform the Martian environment.
He deserves it after all the shit he went through, I hope that teacher and his bitch paid for what they did to him. They came up with an efficient and cost effective plan of sending cockroaches and mold to the surface so that the mold would absorb the sunlight and purify the atmosphere, while feeding the insects whose corpses would help the mold spread throughout the planet. Well anyway that tanned babe sure has a sweet voice. . . .
